ESO's 4th Anniversary Event

FOUR WHOLE YEARS!!! Some might say of ESO goodness, some might say ESO shenanigans, but whatever your viewpoint is the fact remains they've made it to 4 years and seem to still be going strong. The anniversary event begins on Wednesday, April 4 at 3:00PM BST and runs until Monday, April 16 at 3:00PM BST.

The latest offering to celebrate this milestone offers players the chance to collect a memento. Simply access the crown store and grab your jubilee cake voucher and follow the super short and simple quest line to get your hands on the cake memento. Using it not only grants you a three tiered cake that looks good enough to eat, if you actually choose to eat it then you're blessed with a 2 hour 100% exp bonus. Cake that makes you learn stuff quicker? Yes please. GET IN MY BELLY!

During the anniversary event, each daily quest that you complete offers you an anniversary gift box once the quest has been turned in. These reward boxes contain crafting materials (ore, ingredients, runes, etc.) and a single rare crafting item (Nirncrux, style items, motif pages, etc.) Gift Boxes cannot be earned by completing infinitely repeatable quests such as the thieves guild pickpocketing quests :D Rarer rewards include hard-to-get motif pages previously only available in Vvardenfell, the Horns of the Reach dungeons, and the Clockwork City. Even rarer, you could receive a motif page for the brand-new Worm Cult style, a look that can only be found in the Anniversary Gift Boxes!

To help you identify what daily and weekly quests are available to you, the guys over at ESO have also added a new “Adventurer's Almanac" to the game. Upon reading it, if you have completed the Mages Guild quest line, the new book will be added to your Eidetic Memory and be accessible from your Journal at any time. You can find the book somewhere near Chef Donolon in each capital city.

The book contains everything you need to know about the available weekly and daily quests, including their location, activity type, requirements, and recommended level of experience to complete. There's always adventure to be had in Tamriel, and now, you'll always be able to find it!

On a personal note, these anniversary boxes offer a perfect opportunity to bolster your collection of styles AND line your pockets and make you filthy rich. FYI, don't forget about the cyrodil dailies.... 3 hubs, 10 dailies in each, you'd be insane not to take advantage of this :P

See you all in game

Much love <3

Just wanted to add this as it's common practice among quite a few people now and I want to share the love:

Get your alts up to level 6, certify them for crafting, do writs on them. This is an easy 40+ anniversary lootboxes per day, meaning you'll get a boatload of motifs this way. This is much faster than doing any daily quests in quest hubs or some such and if there's one thing better than pie, better than free motifs... it's super efficient pie and motifs! Coincidentally this is also why style mats and low level mats sell like crazy.

Bonus tip: Don't sell your motifs now if you're not totally desperate. Prices are ridiculously low right now and will drop further until about Saturday or Sunday before the event ends as this is when some clever fellas will start buying motifs and sit on them for a few weeks or months until prices have stabilized again. So don't be a mudcrab and enjoy your ka-ching in a couple weeks if you can ;)

So they extended the jubliee by a week due to all the outages:

Just FYI for all you motif hounds...
